Web Developer
We are seeking a highly motivated Web Developer at our Ann Arbor office to help us build and maintain dynamic web applications supporting our clients' Environmental, Health & Safety Management Systems. The role will involve PHP development but will also include minimal IT support to employees and clients. This is a contract-to-hire position, starting at 30-40 hrs per week with potential for full-time salaried employment. This position is available immediately.
Applicants must be available to work at our Ann Arbor office.
Qualifications:
- At least a BS in Computer Science Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years experience with Web Applications
- Web Portfolio and/or code samples so we can see the work you've done
- Must have solid communication skills when working with non-technical personnel
- Experience meeting deadlines
- Availability to meet regularly with our clients in the Detroit area
Required Knowledge:
- Web Standards Compliant coding practices
- XHTML/JavaScript/CSS
- PHP5/MySQL
- Web Hosting, *nix Server Administration
- Windows / XAMPP Server Administration
Familiarity with the following is a plus:
- Object-oriented Programming Techniques
- MVC Frameworks (CakePHP, CodeIgniter, etc.)
- AJAX / Prototype / Scriptaculous scripting
- Extreme Programming / Agile Development Paradigms
- Graphic Design / Photoshop
- Video Compression / Sorenson Squeeze
